Psalm 91 Prayer Journal

This opening line of Psalm 91 reveals why this is such a beloved psalm.

"He who dwells in the shelter of the Most High will abide in the shadow of the Almighty."

The Most High God, the highest of the high, invites us to live in intimacy with Him, in His secret place. Our God who set the stars in place and holds them there, knows us and loves us and wants us to live with Him. 

The psalmist tells us this is a place of safety, of rest, of preparation, of victory over evil spirits out to harm us, a place where God’s angels guard us in all our ways.
